Just like other things on your pre-flight checklist – packing your bags, checking your passport or arranging travel insurance – ordering your in-flight meal in advance is a smart move that ensures a smooth journey on Singapore Airlines (SIA). Think of it as travel hygiene – an easy, proactive step that makes all the difference in comfort and enjoyment on board.
For customers flying in First Class, Business Class and Premium Economy Class, they can pre-order their set meal from the In-Flight Menu or choose a main course from the Book the Cook menu. Those who have special dietary requirements due to religious, dietary or allergy reasons can pre-order their set meal from the Special Meals menu, which is available to all SIA customers. To see what dishes are available and to select the type of meal you wish to enjoy on your flight, log in to the Manage Booking function on SIA’s website using your booking reference number. Customers can start pre-ordering from as early as four months and up to 24 hours before their scheduled flight, depending on the meal type.
Choose from the In-Flight Menu
Checking your route’s In-Flight Menu is easy – and so is selecting and pre-ordering a meal. If you’re in First Class, Business Class and Premium Economy Class, you can preview your in-flight food, beverage, amenity and snack offerings via SIA’s digital In-Flight Menu up to eight days before your flight.
Alternatively, you may also view the In-Flight Menu by connecting to our on-board Wi-Fi to scan the QR code found in the KrisWorld entertainment system. Access to the In-Flight Menu onboard is complimentary and will not deplete your in-flight Wi-Fi plan.
Special dietary needs? We’ve got you covered
SIA’s in-flight dining options are designed to meet a variety of needs. Special Meals – available only via pre-order – are an option for infants and children, as well those with religious or dietary requirements. This includes, but is not limited to, Muslim and Vegetarian meals. Special meals include the complete set of appetiser, main course and dessert. Special Meals are required to be pre-ordered between 24 to 56 hours before the scheduled flight.
Some destinations, however, require advanced notice for meal pre-orders, ranging from 32 to 48 hours. Kosher meals must be pre-ordered at least 56 hours before flight departure. We recommend checking the cut-off time that applies to your destination on the SIA’s website.
Complimentary Book the Cook service
Book the Cook is exclusively available at no extra charge to customers in First Class, Business Class and Premium Economy Class on selected routes, and with route-specific options tailored to your journey – such as Italian Calamarata with Parma Ham and Mushroom Sauce for customers flying from Milan and Slow-Braised Beef Cheek from Singapore.
Book the Cook service is only for main courses – appetisers and desserts will be the same as those offered in the In-Flight Menu. Customers with dietary restrictions should order from Special Meals instead. Note that Book the Cook can be pre-ordered up to 24 hours before departure.¹ More information can be found here.
Pre-ordering your meal in advance is important, particularly if you have specific dietary requirements, as onboard options may be limited or unavailable.
¹ Some destinations, such as Auckland, will require at least 48 hours’ advance notice.
