This storied bar and live jazz spot was born in the 1930s, when it drew bankers from the nearby stock exchange. The Art Deco surroundings still whisper of that time, with a balcony for scoping the quirky crowd, and benches covered in fabric from the film Murder on the Orient Express. Greats like Nat King Cole have played here, and today there are regular free concerts on weekends, especially in autumn and winter. To drink, try the “Cointreau-Teese”, created by burlesque legend Dita Von Teese herself.
