The lush Western Ghats are older than the Himalayas. It’s home to an extensive ecosystem consisting of a variety of flora and fauna, many of which are unique to India. A Unesco World Heritage Site, the Western Ghats are spread across the Indian states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra, and Gujarat.
