1. Busan International Film Festival, 3 to 12 Oct

This year, the celebrated festival will open with an acclaimed Kazakh film Horse Thieves, Roads of Time. In attendance will be big-name guests like Timothée Chalamet, who stars in David Michôd’s latest film The King.

2. Film Southasia, Kathmandu, 14 to 17 Nov

This biennial festival continues to shine the spotlight on documentaries from across the region. There is even a category for student films, ensuring a platform for filmmakers from all levels of experience.

3. Singapore International Film Festival, 21 Nov to 1 Dec

Celebrating its 30th edition, this year’s festivities include “Nature’s Playground”, a mixed media exhibition at Gardens by the Bay, which will feature local storytellers like Alfian Sa’at and Kirsten Tan.
