1. Protecting habitats

Through partnering with Harapan Rainforest Initiative, SIA has restored 6,900ha of rainforest area and protected critically endangered animals.

2. A better fleet

SIA continues to invest in new and fuel-efficient aircraft to replace the older fleet, with an increase of 25% to 30% in fuel efficiency.

3. Fuel-smart

56 million kilogrammes of fuel have been saved since the 2015/2016 financial year, thanks to tailored water uplift and optimised flight routings. SIA’s world-first biofuel flights to San Francisco have also saved 320 tonnes of carbon emissions.
